Some more!!!

This one is for you Melissa!!!! Miss you guys so much and can't wait to see you in June!!!
Oh by the way, Happy First Birthday Finn!!!!
Taking a break from yardwork with the kid on my back...
Finally got around to taking some house photos...I will work on some outside shots soon.  I just snapped inside ones while Dalton napped the other day.  Here's when you walk in the front door.

Left is the living room...
The dining room looking from the living room...
Looking back across the dining area...
The kitchen that I LOVE...counterspace galore and open to living area...
Looking across living room ...
Upstairs hallway...
The guest bathroom...
Our bedroom...
Didn't get a shot of Dalton's room...but will soon...Of course, he is napping now as I write.

Donning his Jelly Belly camo from Auntie Annika
As I said last time, our lil man is cruising along the furniture and lovin it!!!!
AHHHHH!!!!
The "can I have a cookie yet Mommy?" look
Check out those lovely locks!
Lastly a cat update...Our new cat has settled in well and Bert (our black cat) likes him...notice I said LIKES not LOVES!  BUT Dalton LOVES him!  (and Bert too).  The feeling IS NOT mutual though.  In fact Dalton crawls all over after them and they constantly have to be on the lookout to race away.  Last night as Dalton was playing, Bert decided the only safe haven was Dalton's playpen...too funny!
Dalton had NO idea he was hiding in there...
Dalton also hijacks the cat toys...which really makes Buddy the cat confused...so confused that he split when I took the picture...oh well, still a cute shot.

Things are a changin'

Well, it has been a while.   Guess that is what happens when life gets busy...the blogging suffers.  Despite the lack of posting to document the progress in our life, we continue on and we are blessed each day.  Dalton LOVES his time with family...check out that smile!

Let's see...it has been almost 2 months since my last post.  (Shame on me!)  We have survived Dalton's first high fever, a bonus to the Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease which he picked up from who knows where!  It seemed like from mid February thru March either Dalton or I were sick...Amidst all that there was report card writing and parent teacher conferences...fun fun fun!  (sense the sarcasm?!)

Cool things are happening though.  Dalton is crawling like crazy!  He started about a month ago, which surprised us all since he showed little interest in this route of locomotion...Guess he figured getting somewhere on hands and knees was better than getting nowhere, or barely there, by rolling around. He is also becoming an experienced eater of baby food and "adult food",  as we like to call it.  Did I mention he has his two bottom front teeth?!??!  He is laughing and talking a ton too!  I will post video soon as soon as I figure that tech challenge out.  (I am lame, I know!)

I love how he is sitting on his knees here.

Dalton is cruising around walking along the furniture and standing on his own.  He is so close to walking! Just hoping I see it first!

Even though I was sick, my dear friend Ruby still came for a visit town the end of March.  Dalton was taken by her yet again!

We had a great visit with Annika, Greg, and Kellyn at the end of March to celebrate my sister and my birthday...the big 35 for her, 32 for me.  The weather was a perfect 70 degrees so we headed out to Heather Farms Park for a picnic and walk.
Kellyn and her Uncle Trav...two great pals!
 Dalton ADORES his auntie!
 Got the giggles for Greg...

Checking out the park, fighting that nap!!!!!

Each morning Dalton couldn't wait to see Kellyn...He crawled onto her lap to cozy up for some Saturday am cuddles!

Easter was spent with family and we enjoyed it very much.  Again, we are very blessed.

Dalton got a chance to hang out with two of his cousins, Emma and Lauren.  They loved entertaining him and I loved the break!
Lauren is one strong little chicky...holding 24 lbs of her lovable cousin.

I will leave you with one of my favorite photos from this past week.  We call him "Sprout" here.

This week I have Spring Break, so I am enjoying EVERY minute of time I have with Dalton.  (I am also realizing that being a stay-at-home mom is as hard (or harder at times) than being a full-time working mom!)  I might even have some time to figure out how to post some of the videos I have been taking.
Adios for now...hope to better about posting.  Sad that it takes a vacation to catch up!
