Oh, September!

So here I go...Guess it's going to be at best that I complete a post per month...that actually might be an attainable goal!
We were back into the swing of work and school.  We have managed to get quite a bit shoved into this month!  Dalton is loving preschool and I am so proud of how well he's done with settling in.  That is not to say that he's not had issues...In fact, I'm finding that he is as willful as I was as a child.  (Sure does make me feel bad now for my mom!)  Honestly as willful as he can be, he has the sweetest nature and is a lil love bug!  We have such fun with him.  He's learning a TON and loving it!  So in short, life is good!  Hope the same for all of you.

Heading out to Dalton's first day at preschool.
Dalton finds the BEST toy on the yard! He is THRILLED to have Rory and June (my friends, Megan and Rianna's girls) at school with him!  Those three get along amazingly well!  So awesome!

A few weeks ago Dalton attended his first Oakland A's game!  I think he'd say the best part was the ice cream.   Hmmm, I wonder where he got that stance below from?!?
Dalton took this photo of me...Thought I'd post since it's not too bad AND I'm usually the one taking the photos.
 Woot woot!!!
I know... this is a photo that some day Dalton will CURSE me for posting, but since he's only 3.... I can't help it.  He came out of his room one morning wearing this...Trav's crocs, Cars undies and his jammie shirt.  LOL!
We took a quick trip up to visit my mom and dad...Had a great time playing in Spanish Creek, a place where I always played as a kid.  Dalton loved it, of course!

The next day we attended a benefit for a dear family friend, Steve Tolen.  The entire community came together...truly amazing!  Reminded me of why I still love where I grew up!  We had a wonderful day being together for a wonderful cause.  Dalton got to check out the inside of this AND watch it land and take off...Very cool!
 Watching the chopper take off...
Mom, Dad, Dalton and Trav enjoying the events.

A couple weeks ago, Dalton got croup:( BUT thankfully it was short lived.  Here's a pic of him in GREAT spirits, having a "picnic" on the living room floor and playing the Hungry Caterpillar game with me.  Later that night I cut his hair...It really was getting a lil too bouffant!
Cut it in the tub...not too bad:).
The other day we came home and I actually did NOT stress about making dinner or run around or getting him in the bath, or starting laundry, or getting any other work done.  We came home and played with Play Dough, making pumpkins!  Yes, I am learning to enjoy these times with him, instead of rushing around.  Heck, I can't get these days back right?!?  Honestly we are both happier in the end!
Today we went to the Oakland Zoo.  We really enjoy it!  The giraffes are up close and personal.
The best way around the zoo is on Daddy's shoulders.
 A family favorite:  The meerkats!
Another favorite! The tiger sisters!  There are actually five tigers and they are beautiful!

Oh, I forgot about this guy!  This chimp was so precious just taking a morning nap, covers and all!
I could barely get Dalton to sit still to take a pic:)
I wish we had doors like this at preschool!:)
Dalton making friends at the lily pads.:)
We LOVE the otter family!  Dalton was completely giddy!

Here's Dalton playing at Children's Zoo playground.

 Til next time....Cheers!
