From Einstein to stud!

Little Mr. Dalton finally got his first REAL haircut!  (Sure, I've trimmed it here and there, but have been afraid to actually cut it! I still wanted his sweet curls!)  Dalton has visited the salon a few time before with his cousin, Trevor and let's just say, did NOT love it!  He wasn't even there to get his hair cut and PANIC set it....So when I found out that our friend John's lovely fiancee Kristina is a hairstylist, we all were stoked!
Last night Kristina got to work and WOW! does she do awesome!?!?
Everyone was all smiles!
 A serious but calm face:)
Last few snips...Doesn't it look so much better?!?! Even though he looks a bit serious here a few seconds later he looked at me and said "Cheese!"  Of course by the time I got the camera he was no where to be found!
SO, our little man has gone from looking A LOT like Einstein to looking like a little stud!  How handsome he looks!  I totally teared up.  Kristina did amazing with our little moving monkey!  The curl in his hair looks even better and is definitely more tame!

Gold, Bucks, and Parades! What more could you ask for?!?!?

So it's back to work for me and time to reminisce on the summer's photos and fun!  Our last trip to the 'rents for the summer was filled with fun!  Travis got a new metal detector, so he wanted to get some gold!  Ok, at least attempt it.  Not much luck but still a fun day at the creek.  Dalton loved putting his little feet in the water.  It did feel great, it was a hot day out!
"Cheese!"
 "Oooohhhh...This is cold!"
"Oops...there goes my hat!" and "What's that on my foot!?"
 Helping Daddy get rich!
"BORING!!! Done with that already, I'd rather play in the creek with Rocky dog!"
Dalton the geologist, with lil help from Poppi.
Ahhh....after a long day in the sun it's time to relax at Grammy and Poppi's house.
Then off to Bucks Lake the next day!  Chilling on Poppi's pontoon boat.
Poppi and Uncle Derek with their doggies, Gracie and Rocky.
"No worries at the lake....Chilin with my old pal, Dad."
Kellyn and friend, Kristen, enjoy the ride.
 The best Grammy!
 One happy kiddo!
Dalton drives the boat with Poppi.
 The little camp explorer!
"Morning! I'm in a great mood...I woke up at the lake!!!"
"It's going to be a great day!  I've got my cool Uncle Derek and Rocky dog! Now, where's my coffee?!?"

The next day we went into Quincy to enjoy the annual Fair Parade...While we waited for it to start, Dalton kept himself busy watching ants in the gutter...
 "Mom! Check out these ants!"
"Mom, my Auntie Niki is the BEST!!!"  (Check out those smiles!...Hard to tell who is happiest!)
 Poppi enjoying the parade while
Dalton and Kellyn enjoy their candy.
Can you just feel the love?!?  One proud Grammy too!
Derek and Trav were overwhelmed with excitement due to the parade....lol...can you sense the sarcasm?
 "YAY!!! Love this parade Mom!"
 My sweet niece!
Taking a break in the shade...It was hot out!
In the end the trip was enjoyed by all and for days after we got home Dalton kept saying "I want to go to Grammy and Poppi's house!"  Me too!
