If he's in a mellow mood in the morning he will watch Caillou and chill. Here's a couple photos that will get YOU feeling relaxed!
Life is tough for a two year old, huh?!?
He can't wait to play in any kind of water too! So when he got this giant sprinkler ball from Uncle Doug and Auntie Monika, it was a hit! Dalton and I were running through it yesterday at 9 in the morning...It was a scorcher Tuesday!
We have been keeping busy too with taking out the pavers in our backyard and putting in sod. After leveling it out, bringing in 13 bags of soil and 15 rolls of sod, we have nice backyard to relax in! (And yes, people, I lugged bags of soil and rolls of sod, and leveled, leveled, leveled!) Oh, thank you Derek for your help too! I promise to post pictures of the finished product soon!
Travis evening up the seams.
Oh yeah, and I also kept this little guy busy. Which by the way was NOT easy since the backyard was full of dirt and Dalton LOVES to shovel. Great if we don't need to keep it level, NOT so great when leveling it out is key! How did he stay entertained you may ask? WATER! Just give him some containers and he'll play forever!
Does he look happy about the yard?!?!?
On the days that Travis is at work, we manage to keep busy with friends and family, or just play at home. I LOVE this freedom, no big schedules to adhere to (except for his nap time). We meet with my friends from work for a Mommas/kids playdate every Tuesday. This is the best! We get to chat about life, relax and find comfort in the crazy fits that our two year olds are throwing! Dalton loves getting to see his friends too! The whole morning before we get there he tells me the kiddos names. Too cute!
Here's Dalton playing at Rory's house last week.
Dalton's new favorite treat...Frozen yogurt. The kid can really put it away! I don't blame him!
Humm...Sounds good for dinner right now! And speaking of eating, Dalton still cannot get enough fruit. He actually gets giddy when we talk about watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, apricots and more. (Which he can clearly pronounce too!) But boy, does he take it seriously and store it away in those cheeks!
One of Dalton's favorite birthday gifts is his Cars Geo Trax! Even if he's done at the end of the day, he'll find a way to play with them. LAZY!
Last weekend we went over to Auntie Shirley and Uncle Dan's. They are in the process of moving and the coi fish aren't going with them.:( But Dalton sure enjoyed feeding the "fishies!"
He kept inching closer to the water and eventually just rested there.
We'll end with this series of pictures of Dalton playing in Nanny's pool...Check out the expressions when he is splashing!
We are SO thrilled to have the time to enjoy summer together! More adventures on the way!
Isn't summer the best? Glad your getting some time to chill with the lil' one.
