Birthday fun!

WOW!  How did that happen?!?!?  Dalton will be 2 years old tomorrow, May 31st.  So in honor of his special day we had a birthday party yesterday with our family and friends.  It was a PERFECT day!  The kiddos had a blast! The parents and family members got a rare chance to enjoy the company of one another too!
The weather here has been cool, windy and even rainy on Saturday!  So, for those of you that know me, I mean really know me, I was PANICKED on the inside all day Saturday.  Despite my worries, Sunday's weather was MUCH improved, in fact it ended up being very lovely!  We had the party at a really cool park in Danville called Hap Magee Ranch Park.  (If you live in the area, check it out.  It is such a great place to hang out with the kiddos.)

Here's some of the many photos from the wonderful day:
 I couldn't resist these plates...Dalton loves monkeys!
One of the tables was complete with a banana balloon! (and bananas to hold the balloons down)
The party favors were personal buckets including shovels, sand molds, bubbles, sidewalk chalk and of course, Goldfish crackers.  (Thank you Dollar Store!)

My dear friend Karyn, her hubby, Kyle, my mom and my Auntie Katherine
Nanny, Dalton and Auntie Shirley.  The birthday boy chowed down on the Pirates Booty!
Auntie Candace and Rocky dog...he is adorable!
 Uncle Dan, Travis and Derek
The birthday boy with a mouthful of Pirates Booty...YUM!

Rocky dog, up close and personal

Dalton trying to show me "2" on his fingers:)  He's been practicing with Nanny!
After some snacking it was time to play in the water with all his friends.  They ran around like crazy! Then when they got tired they would stop to say hi to Poppi and his doggie, Gracie.  Then back at it again!

I LOVED this one! Could he be any happier!?!?!

Dalton's pal, Rory....She is just precious!
Our friends, Megan and RJ's, sweet little girl June.  Dalton calls her "June Baby"
Our neighbor, Leo.  He was so funny...He would just walk right through the water and got soaked without a care in the world.

Hunter, our friends Dianna and Brian's lil guy, had a blast too!  He loved Leo and kept pointing to his nose.
Could Hunter be any cuter?!?!  Seriously, he is one of the cutest lil boys I have seen in a while.
 Sweet lil June baby again.:)
After all that hard work running around in the water and after a quick change, Dalton stopped for a snack.
Hunter and Dianna, his mommy, enjoyed a break too.
June and her mommy, Megan joined us
along with Rory, and her mommy, Rianna.
Kian, his mommy and daddy, Siva and Jen also enjoyed the day with us too.
Leo and his daddy, Edgar searched through his loot as they enjoyed dinner.

The MASTER of the BBQ, Travis, grilled up some tasty hot dogs.

Dianna, Hunter and Brian took a great family photo!

Hunter and Rory were tickled to pet Rocky.

Dalton and Mommy ate some dinner together.
and before we knew it the afternoon was passing by quickly!

Dalton took time to chill with his Uncle Derek!  He LOVES him so much!  (Pretty sure the feelings mutual!)
Grammy and Poppi relaxed and chatted...Of course Poppi was being silly!
Karyn and Kyle chilled with the fam.

And after lots of playing, eating and chatting, it was CAKE TIME!!
Check out the awesome monkey cake that Nanny got for Dalton.
We sang "Happy Birthday" and Dalton immediately dug right in with his shovel!
 YUM...Tasty!
 Hahahaha!
This is what Grammy got after a big kiss from Dalton!
And before we knew it the evening was upon us and we had the best afternoon celebrating one lucky little boy!  Words will never be enough to say how blessed we are to have the most wonderful friends and family to share this special day with.   Thank you for making this day a memorable time for all of us! We love you!

More Easter fun!

We had a very fun Easter with Travis's family.
A highlight....Dalton asking Travis's aunt, Aunt Shirley, for his "red spoon" and proceeding to sit in front of the bunny cake and dig right it... He ate and ate a giant dent out of the front part of the cake.  (No he didn't eat the part you see gone.)  Little excited much!!!
 WOW!  Egg in the tree!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend with family and friends.  Love you all!

Happy Easter!

We have been having SO much fun lately!  Dalton is talking so much more and each day surprises us with new words.  (Fortunately no bad words...yet....)
He has a BLAST outside now that the weather is getting better.  So we decided it's never to early to get him to like baseball.  Which he of course was game to try.:)

Last night when he went to bed he couldn't stop talking about going to his friend Rory's house for an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday afternoon.  He kept saying her name and then added "Rory's house...BUBBLES! and SLIDE!"  I was amazed at his memory...We haven't been over there in over 2 months and he remembered it so clearly!  I am in awe at these little kiddos minds and abilities!

Here's some pictures from the fun at the Rory's house.   Dalton found most of his eggs on his FAVORITE spot in Rory's backyard, the slide!!!  Very conveniently placed eggs I might add!
One of the highlights of the egg hunt was when Dalton found a plastic egg on the platter that had cake pops (kinda like donut holes) on it.  He snatched the egg and then a cake ball.  After that he would NOT put the cake ball down.  It took him FOREVER to eat it too.  He wouldn't put it down to climb the ladder on the slide, go down the slide, seesaw or to ride a car.

"CHEESE!" or shall we say "CAKE !"
Yes, the cake ball is still in his hand!
Looking forward to more family fun tomorrow on Easter day!

A few fun shots

Here's just a few fun shots.  One from right before our friends left last weekend.  Here's Dalton kissing Maisie, my goddaughter.  ADORABLE!
HOORAY for SPRING BREAK, which started for me today with a weekend visit from my sister Annika, her boyfriend Greg and my niece Kellyn!  I couldn't sleep last night I was so excited!  We spent the afternoon and evening at my cousin's house where all the little cousins got to play together...again ADORABLE!
Trevor's train table is quite entertaining, especially to four kiddos who just spent the afternoon running around.  What better way is there to take a relaxing break then to watch a train zoom around a table?
One last fun shot...Dalton test driving a motorcyle complete with sidecar in Costco.  Check out that face and his grip!  Are we thrilled or what?!?!  Like father, like son!

More Spring Break fun to come!  Can't wait!!!:) Hope to paint Dalton's room and have a lovely rest of the weekend and week off!
